The Hindi Urdu Flagship would like to congratulate Anastasia Bradatan for her recent selection as a recipient of the prestigious Boren Scholarship. Boren Scholarships encourage undergraduates to study less commonly taught languages in regions underrepresented in study abroad. Boren Awards will fund a year-long programs up to $20,000.
Anastasia is an honors student and triple major studying International Relations and Global Studies, Hindi and Spanish. Following her graduation, she plans to work with the Department of Defense before pursuing a Masters in South Asian Studies and a PhD in Comparative Politics with a focus on South Asia and Latin America. She is currently involved with the Liberal Arts Refugee Alliance, in which she works with refugees in Austin.
