In the final weeks of the Year in India, each HUF student pursues a professional internship that makes full use of their Hindi and Urdu language skills in face-to-face daily interactions. Internship opportunities vary from year to year, and will be coordinated through HUF and AIIS staff and faculty. Some students may find that their internship offers plentiful inspiration and material to develop as the Hindi- or Urdu-medium Capstone project which they will construct and submit in the fourth year of the program. Student internships are an unrivaled opportunity to activate language skills in a real-world setting and to experience the local culture firsthand. Many HUF students have identified their internship as the most rewarding aspect of the Year in India, as well as a unique asset to add to their resume.
